Who is this course for?

Anyone who runs or sits in a board meeting: chairs, secretaries, directors and chief executives of U.S. nonprofits and companies. A nonprofit track and a corporate track cover what differs.

Is this a Robert's Rules course?

It teaches meeting procedure based on Robert's Rules of Order Newly Revised, 12th edition, but it starts with what comes first: state law, your articles and your bylaws. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Robert's Rules Association or its publisher.

What is included in the $297 price?

A one-time payment includes 31 captioned video lessons, 31 lesson guides, a 23-tool template pack and five cheat sheets. You also get the final assessment and a Certificate of Completion after completing the lessons and passing.

How does the final assessment work?

Thirty scenario questions. You need at least 24 correct answers (80%) to pass. Retakes are allowed.

What does the Certificate of Completion mean?

It records that you completed Running Board Meetings and passed the final assessment. It is issued by Board Director Institute. It is not accreditation or a parliamentarian credential.

Is this legal advice?

No. The course is general education. State law and your own bylaws can change the answer, so check important decisions with your attorney.

Who created the course, and is the video AI-generated?

Michael Barrick, founder of Board Director Institute, created the course. The video and voice use an AI-generated version of Michael. Michael reviewed and approved the lesson content.
